“The most important attribute of ethanol and the reason it is blended in nearly ten percent of all gasoline – it saves tens of thousands of lives annually – has gone completely unnoticed,” writes C. Boyden Gray, author of a new white paper on the health benefits of ethanol.
Mr. Gray was White House Counsel in the Administration of President George H.W. Bush and became one of the principal architects of the 1991 Clean Air Act Amendments.
“It is critically important to set the record straight, for a whole host of reasons ranging from energy security to public health to deficit spending and finally, to new jobs,” he states.
An article on ethanol's health benefits can be read in this month's Ethanol Today magazine. Visit www.ethanoltoday.com and click on the November issue cover. The article begins on page 36. The white paper can be read and downloaded here.
